Monarch Fire Protection District

Latest News:

The Fire District Board of Directors recently voted unanimously to purchase a 2017 Ford F-550 Ambulance. The purchase will be from American Emergency Vehicle (AEV). The purchase price is $249,975.00. Expected delivery is late May to early June of 2017.

The Fire District recently received three bids for a 2017 Tanker. The water tanker (2223) will be assigned to Monarch House 2 located at 18424 Wildhorse Creek Road. This truck will improve the Fire District’s ability to respond to fire emergencies in our portion of the District without fire hydrants. In addition to that, the Fire District received two bids for a 2017 Rescue/Pumper. The Rescue/Pumper (2254) will be assigned to Monarch House 5 located at 155 Long Road. The Apparatus Committee, chaired by Battalion Chief Dave Schmitt, will evaluate the bid proposals and make a recommendation to the Chief and Board of Directors.

The District is pleased we have been able to continue updating and modernizing the equipment which serves the residents, businesses and visitors to Monarch. These upcoming acquisitions are part of the program to maintain high quality, reliable fire trucks and ambulances. This is being accomplished without increased tax rates.
