Change of Owner or Occupant
The Monarch Fire Protection District does NOT require permits or inspections for the change of owner or occupant of residential property. This includes all one- and two-family dwellings, townhomes, apartments, and condos.
One- and Two-Family Dwellings and Townhomes
Is a fire district permit required?
Fire district permits are NOT required:
- New construction
- Addition
- Basement finish
- Remodel
- Solar Panels
- Repairs caused by water, storm, or fire
Fire district permits ARE required:
- Security gates across public or private access roadways, streets, or driveways.
- Site plan review
- New subdivisions
- Lot split or boundary adjustments
Apartments & Condominiums
Is a fire district permit required?
Fire district permits are NOT required:
- Roof or siding replacement
- Furnace and water heater replacement in existing location
- Interior or exterior painting
- New flooring
Fire district permits ARE required:
- Security gates across public or private access roadways, streets or driveways.
- New subdivisions
- New buildings
- Deck replacement
- Fire, storm, or water damage repairs
- Modifications or replacement of automatic fire sprinkler or fire alarm systems
- Elevator replacement
- Solar panels
