Chesterfield, MO-The Monarch Fire Protection District (MFPD) Board of Directors recently completed a process to replace retiring Chief Cary Spiegel. An internal search identified qualified interested candidates. The Directors reviewed candidate resumes and conducted personal interviews. In a unanimous vote the Board selected Deputy Chief Russ Adams as the next Chief.
Deputy Chief Adams started his career with Monarch on August 3, 1990 as a firefighter/paramedic. Deputy Chief Adam’s experience, formal education, and personal goals make him the perfect choice to lead the Fire District in the future and continue MFPD’s history of excellence in emergency services.
The promotion is effective November 18, 2022.
